"Champagne Tony" anyone?

Anyone out there ever hear of Tony Lema?

"Champagne Tony" Lema, to be exact.

Lema was a professional golfer who was killed in a 1966 plane crash. He died soon after seemingly finding peace both in his life and in his career.

Lema struggled on the PGA Tour for several years before finding unbelievable success, highlighted by his 1964 British Open victory. In fact, Lema appeared on the verge of joining what then was known as golf's Big Three: Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player.

A fun-loving swinging bachelor, Lema often felt conflicted between his Catholic faith and his living, in his eyes, a less-than perfect life. He eventually found peace and a soul mate when he met a flight attendant named Betty who became Mrs. Tony Lema.

Tony Lema struggled personally and professionally. He persevered while mantaining an engaging personality. He enjoyed wealth and success. And he died with his wife at the age of 32.

Sound like a good move? I hope so. I'm writing a script now.

Let me know if you think anyone would be interested in seeing it.
